Igor Štromajer jedan je od prvih umjetnika ovih područja koji je internet od samih početaka koristio kao medij i sadržaj svog izražavanja. Danas, kao i 90-tih istražuje taktične emotivne pseudo-umjetničke akcije, intimističku gerilu i traumatske low-tech komunikacijske strategije kako bi nadišao političku anksioznost (intima.org). Kontinuirano izlaže i prisutan je na festivalima, a projekti mu se nalaze u kolekcijama umjetničkih institucija poput Centre Georges Pompidou u Parizu, Museo Reina Sofía u Madridu, Computerfinearts Gallery u New Yorku i Umetnostnoj galeriji Maribor.

S umjetnikom su razgovarale Irena Borić, Martina Kontošić i Renata Šparada povodom njegovog skorog sudjelovanja na izložbi u galeriji Galženica u sklopu projekta net.cube.

He has shown his work at more than two hundred thirty exhibitions, festivals and biennials worldwide, among others at the transmediale, ISEA, EMAF, SIGGRAPH, Ars Electronica Futurelab, V2_, IMPAKT, CYNETART, Manifesta, FILE, Stuttgarter Filmwinter, Hamburg Kunsthalle, ARCO, Banff Centre, Les Rencontres Internationales, etc.



His works are included in the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the MNCA Reina Sofía in Madrid, Computer Fine Arts in New York, and UGM:
